José Drummond 1. 你经常去大陆／香港／澳门／台湾吗？一般是干什么？

　　Yes. I love to travelin China. Most of my inspiration is drawn to me while traveling. （是，我喜欢在中国旅行。我的灵感大多在行程中产生。)

　　2. 你能用几个关键词概括对大陆／香港／澳门／台湾的印象与感觉吗？

　　My feelings from the Mainland are different from regionto region. From city to city. From place to place. Beijing it’s different from Shanghai and different from Guangzhou that is also different from Xiamen and Kunming and Xian and Chengdu and Guilin and Urumqi and Harbin and so on. I think Mainland is so big and so varied that have a specific feeling in each place. Same kind of feeling happens to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.（我对大陆的印象因地而异。北京、上海、广州各有特点，厦门、昆明、西安、成都、桂林、乌鲁木齐、哈尔滨等地就更不一样了。大陆的广阔和多元使得我对各地有不同的感觉，香港、澳门和台湾亦如此。）

3.你最喜欢其它三地的艺术家或文化人士是谁？

　　For different reasons and not all the works but I’m divided between Zhang Huan, Ai Wei Wei and Zhang Peili. It’s really hard to choose only one.（出于不同的原因，但也不是所有的作品，我喜欢张洹、艾未未或者张培力。很难只挑一个。）

4.你有文化身份上的困惑吗？

　　No. Identity issues are always interesting to me. My particular situation is so rich that provides me a lot of ‘food’ for my own work. Imagination is the key.（不会。我总是对身份问题很感兴趣。我个人的身份就很丰富，为我的作品提供了丰富材料。想象力是关键。）

　　5. 你觉得两岸四地在文化认同上的共同性与差异性是什么？

　　There are so many differences and also many common aspects between the four regions that I can’t really put it in a few words.（差异和共同存在于许多方面，只言片语难以道清。）

　　6. 作为艺术家，你对两岸四地文化交流的未来趋势有何想象？

　　I hope that more and more projects will be able to involvevoices from the four regions.（我希望更多项目能吸纳来自四地的声音。）
