ABSTRACT
This dissertation has two purposes. The first one is to find the sketch of the Visual culture in The Cultural Revolution with the point view of visual design, and to settle and induce it with the concept of VIS of The Cultural Revolution. The other purpose is to interpret the evolution and characters of VIS in The Cultural Revolution. It is also about how to explore a way to endow VIS with new characteristics in new era and the possibility of VIS in The Cultural Revolution being a design style with Chinese character.
